A lot of thoughts were going through my head as I revisited my former stomping grounds. Nothing else held up to the effect I would see of attending classes over a multi-year compounded effort. I found it dispiriting that entering the job market came with a steep decline in rewarding checkpoints and my skill building stagnated. To breathe new life into my work I had to go out of my way. So I started writing poetry and got deep into web design. By undergoing such a career shakeup I discovered that important milestones are still there to be had if I stayed in tune with what I found interesting as an early teen.

Gaining new skills feels rather meaningless if I don’t have these milestones anymore because the work will not be a labor of love. It will just be labor, a thing I do and have no idea why I am spending time on it. I had been inspired by album art like August and Everything After as well as CD-ROM presentations like Alice in Chain’s Jar of Flies. My goal with this page was to take a cue from those ideas and push them to new territories that were not possible in the era. You can see that below the objects have multiple stacking items on top of and underneath the ink blots. Subtle shifts in color change in the background too!

Through all these advancements in my education I found my way again. The long road isn’t always easy and often meandering but the struggle is worth it, better paths are out there if you look for them!

On the right is the list of poems I am working on. I recommend reading them in order by clicking the next button at the bottom of each page. Some poems are mini-stories told over a few pages so they make the most sense when read in order.
